Quick update...
So, A LOT has been going on with the house recently.
Last night Rachael and I did the final signing, there wasn't as much paper work as I had expected, but still, it was plenty. As long as King County doesn't see any problems we should be receiving our keys tonight!
Repairs, refinishes, and remakes in the works:
Kitchen floors (Wednesday)
Back bedroom/office carpet (Thursday)
We've got plumbers, electricians, and people to refinish the hardwood floors, all coming in this week also, they'll be taking a look and getting us some estimates so we can get this show on the road!

On a completely unrelated note, over the week end we made the voyage west to check out a garage sale on Alki, this wound up being a HUGE disappointment, on the bright side though, we did discover 2 fine West Seattle establishments...
... as we headed up California Ave. we spotted "Admiralty House Antiques" a wonderful little shop filled with items just waiting to be rescued (dusted, polished, etc.) and put on display to begin their second (or possibly 3rd, 4th, or 5th) life. The shop was tended by a sweet older woman who was as happy to chat as she was to unload treasures. I can't do the shop justice but perhaps this can convince you to stop on by.
After our fun digging excursion, we dusted off and headed across the street for our first encounter with Click! To our surprise, it happened to be their 2nd anniversary, within minutes we were engaged in excellent conversation with the owners of the store while sipping "yummy" champagne and snacking on truffles (this was about 11:00 am mind you). An hour had gone by when we had finally made our purchase and were headed out the door with our "house warming gift to each other" in hand.

Christie and I have stopped by that antique store, seriously, going on 11 or 12 times - and it has ALWAYS been closed! I can't believe you got in on your first visit. Ugh!
